The Heavy Stuff...I hate to write...but so necessary in today's hobby climate! Please bear with me and read on, as I hope for a smooth transaction for us both! :)
REFERENCES I check references before sending model horses or accepting funds. I only work with hobbyists who have a positive transaction history. I do post transaction experiences, both positive and otherwise, on the Model Horse Transaction Board. I do not mean to be rude, or demeaning, so I truly don't mean to offend anyone...but due to some trends in our hobby with some individuals, I am forced to say it: Please be sure you are able to fulfill your agreement before buying a model horse or a custom slot from me. I really want us both to have a positive and smooth transaction, so please do not agree to time payments without having a financial plan ready to fulfill your end of the agreement. I do make rare exceptions for things one could not have foreseen-but I will not refund money for poorly planned financial reasons. I have seen a LOT of disgruntled sellers and buyers due to this very reason, which is the *only* reason I am saying this. Again, time payment funds will not be refunded if you are not able to complete your end of the agreement, unless you have a very real and serious unforeseen situation.
Shipping: Items are PPD within the lower 48 USA! I will try to work with you if you are not in the USA, but I may have to figure out how to ship your item to you, depending on where you are located. Shipping costs will be charged accordingly.
Tire Kickers: I WILL report tire-kickers, people who fail to meet time-payment commitments (with the exception of unforeseen, true emergencies or circumstances), people who are *really*, unnecessarily difficult to work with, people who pull back funds after a horse has been shipped, and scammers (of course). On my end: I provide several photos of the model, including in-progress shots of custom orders. I also provide photos of the way I am packing your horse for your approval prior to shipping (with the exception of my resin editions). I'm honest and detailed in my descriptions, I communicate well and frequently, and I pack well & ship the same week, if not within days, of receiving payment for a model (unless it is a pre-production purchase for a resin-then I ship within a week of your resin being cleaned up and ready to come home to you-note that I cast and clean my own resins, and this can take time). I have green lights on the Model Horse Transaction Board (MHTB).
TIME PAYMENTS As stated above: If I accept time payments for a horse, I do not refund monies sent for the model if the buyer changes their mind. Again, please plan your finances accordingly, to be sure you can complete your payments in the time agreed-to.
PLACING A HOLD Due to tire-kickers, I no longer place holds on models. First-come, first serve; the individual who says "I want to buy this horse, please give me your PP details" is the one who will get that horse! So please be sure to word your email or IM with intent! :) :)
SHIPPING, RETURNS, AND LIABILITY I am a good, fast communicator and I package carefully. I *will* provide you with a tracking number the day I ship. I am *not* responsible for model horses lost/stolen/damaged while in transit to you, as this is due to carrier handling of your horse (which is not in my control). Insurance is usually provided and that would be an appropriate recourse if something should happen to your package while in transit to you. I *will* do what I can to help you should something happen, by contacting USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, etc I am open to shipping overseas to locations which I am able; as most of you know, this can be really tricky (eg, Germany) and we may need to use and intermediary or perhaps do a bit of research how to accomplish getting your horse to you. A positive history on MHTB is an absolute MUST however, for me to ship overseas. If, for some reason, I am giving you a refund on a model horse (due to my error, such as a flaw I somehow missed, primer/paint/sealer reaction issues, etc - things do sometimes happen with handmade art, and I am not one to deny my own mistakes!), I will refund you, and pay the shipping cost for the return to me. The model must be returned within 3 business days and arrive in the condition I sent it in to receive a refund. I recommend taking photos and sending them to me as you are boxing it back up, to prevent any confusion about the model's condition prior to it being shipped back.
RESIN EDITIONS AND SHIPPING As of now, my policies for resin edition sales and shipping remain the same as stated above. I may adjust these policies if anything comes to light that will benefit customers and as needed for the studio.
Finally - A Big Thank You! Thank you for reading through my policies. It's my hope that you have a GREAT experience buying from me and would enjoy buying horses or custom slots from me again in the future. I appreciate every one of you, who support my wee little studio!
