Stay Tuned! I am working to properly fill out some sections of my gallery, and this is one of them. For a general idea of what my bays look like, I'm including a few images of a recent in-progress piece, and some older work.
The first two images are of my in-progress bay roan tobiano mare, Stacey Tumlinson's Brandebun. Though there's a lot of white going on there, you can see how I did her mealy bay underneath.
One of the older pieces is Oberon, by Sarah Rose, painted in oils with acrylic base coat/whites to a bay roan tobiano. He did quite well in live shows, placing first in a NAN-qualified show. I sold him to Deeanne Kjelshus back in 2006, who is a highly talented artist herself. I have since lost track of this wonderful little guy.
Another horse I'm including in this gallery, for now, is Stacy Tumlinson's Bardigiano Pony resin, Fabio. I painted him to a mealy dappled bay in acrylics, also in 2006. I really love his eye details and dappling (sadly that isn't visible in this not-so-great photo - hopefully I can correct that another day). He also did well in his limited live show career, winning a first place ribbon in a NAN qualified show. He is still with me, but suffered damage, and hopefully I will someday be able to return him to his former glory.
Stacey Tumlinson Bardigiano pony, "Fabio". Older work (2006).
Sarah Rose "Oberon". Older work (2005), in oils with acrylic detailing. Hair-by-hair painted roaning/mapping.
